Mr. Badea oversees the portfolio of Shop-Order Airline Distribution Standards covering the areas of Intermodal, Reservations, Ticketing, NDC, ONE Order and DCS. In his previous role at IATA he led the engagement of the industry for creating and adopting the ONE Order standard and was in charge of the strategy of the programme.

Mr. Badea has 12 years of experience, having worked for a low-cost carrier, full-service carrier and an IT provider in the industry. His background includes Product Management for Amadeus Travel Intelligence in Madrid, in charge of Big Data products for the airline sector; Pricing and Revenue Management department for Qatar Airways in Doha, leading the IATA NDC project; as well as Revenue Management/IT, in charge of the Navitaire New Skies implementation at Blue Air in Romania where he started his career.

Mr. Badea holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University in Bucharest, Romania.
